If you are following the recent trends in running and in running shoes, you already know there are ‘winds of change’ blowing and that means there is going to be lots of questions about how those changes could affect your current running habits.
No matter your body type, fitness level or experience as a runner, the biggest factors in increasing your running performance and reducing common overuse injuries is learning how to run naturally and wearing shoes with nearly level profiles.
GET A PROPER FIT. Standing with your heels pulled to the back of your Newtons, you should have a thumb’s width in front of your longest toe. The ball of your foot should line up over the middle of the red actuator lugs.
INSERT ORTHOTICS IF NEEDED. Newtons are not a substitute for custom orthotics. Remove the sock-liner to accommodate your custom footbeds for the ultimate ride.
